#Social Security and the #IRMAA Form.
All Blogs which purport to have some semblance of credibility for - well anyone - should have an important message and credible source.
I retired on January 3, 2023 from a long, rewarding career at the age of 68. What became somewhat of a part time job was deciphering Medicare Part B using Original Medicare and Medicare Part D.
What I was not prepared for was the Medicare premium that is based on a salary from TWO (yes T-W-O) years prior when I was employed and clearly making more money than I am retired living on Social Security and Investments.
To get around the higher premium, requires filling out an IRMAA form which is conveniently located here: chrome-extension://efaidnbmnnnibpcajpcglclefindmkaj/https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ssa-44.pdf
Follow tomorrow for more on this form, long waits, and red tape.
